    Hi all

Jus looking for ideas for a nice restaurant to host a small birthday gathering 6-10 people, preferable somewhere that does a group menu to simplify it, would probably be a sat night so that rules out an early bird. Generally looking at city centre south side. Not looking for any particular type of cuisine, European etc.

    Thanks for any thoughts!

Do you mean a set menu, i.e. everyone pays the same for the dinner (without worrying about who had the lobster or the most expensive dessert)?

Koh do a yummy group menu, everyone gets a bit of everything for starters and you pick your main.

La Cave have a set menu available that is different to their early bird so I am assuming available all night. 2 courses for 22e or 3 courses for 26e.

Lovely french food, just off Grafton Street. It is down a set of stairs though so not recommended for anyone with mobility issues.

    3 places i would recommend -
Bull and Castle(http://bull-and-castle.fxbuckley.ie/) - High Street out with guys from the soccer team and all enjoyed it, and the german beers were appreciated by some...
Havana (www.havana.ie) - Georges st - been a while but was there with the former work team and it was informal and suited everyone
Bach 16 (www.bach16.com) - Bachelors Walk - was there with 3 friends and thought it was informal and very nice

It's very hard get a booking there these days. The value is phenomenal for the quality and presentation of the food.
