What's the story with these? Have a Conti Grand Prix, fairly low mileage but plagued with a flat spot. Tyre was wobbling so bad thought it was a loose spoke / buckle. Nope - turns out flat spot in the tyre according to the googlemachine.

Any ideas on prevention / cure? Tyres are always inflated to proper pressure ~100 psi odd.

Have you skidded several times on the same place on the tyre?

The tyre is not seated properly in the rim..
Pump to 120/130 .....let out air
Use your hands whilst air-less... To manoeuvre tyre up into bead seating
    Repump...

Yeah tried that - will give it another go again. Positive its sitting on the rim properly. So the side wall is consistent at the junction with the rim. Tried swapping out tubes as well.

No very rare is skid to a stop
