    The resistance lever is broken but the cable still works, you can set this to the required resistance and then clamp with something like a vice grip.
    Apart from that works fine, you can vary the resistance using you bikes gears.

    Pics? What do you mean the lever is broken, do you mean the mechanism is broken or the plastic has snapped?

    The whole unit , lever , clamp etc. is no more, what's left is the complete cable and an outer. Pull the cable and clamp it off to the required resistance, then up and down through the bikes gears, it's a one time job. I'll post some pics tomorrow, will need to get the thing out of storage.

    Cable was frayed so replaced it, vice grip pictured is included and 26" adapters and instructions pictured.
