Looking at all the media files on the hard drive through Raydon software.

There is more space taken up than there are on the harddrive.

Humax says the hard drive is 77% full 320GB but they don't add up to this.

Are there other files hidden on drive or am I mistaken?

Yes there are firmware files that actually run the machine among others, but they don't account for such a lot.
I upgraded my hdd a couple of years ago to a 1TB drive and the old 320GB drive sits in a dock behind the telly connected to the Foxsat as a spare storage drive. It is really simple to change the drive, just unplug the old one and plug in the new one - if it's a 1TB the Foxsat will format it almost automatically.

Turns out when playing the files on another device the files are transcoded and saved in BACKUP thus taking up space.

    Cleared backup

    Cleared backup.

Backup file was visible on PC using Raydon Package
