Does anyone else have a problem with series link not continuing when shows go on their mid season break? We've lost countless episodes due to this problem as we rarely watch a show as it airs. Is it just us?

Ed: that's on sky I mean.

It seems to vary from channel to channel I've noticed. For 'The Daily Show' on Comedy Central it copes well recording new episodes but ignoring filler repeats when the programme is on a break. On other channels (especially the Irish ones) you really have to keep an eye out.

I presume it's something to do with how the channels identify the programmes when sending the info to the epg (?)

The latest Idris Elba ad for Sky talks about series link being improved to automatically record new series (seasons) of existing programmes on your planner - so maybe it's going to get better.

I saw the ads. Funny thing, I got so mad about it the other night that I tweeted at sky about it. So I was tweeting them yesterday (the skyhelpdesk) and that's also what they said (about the new series link).
