Hi, basically my problem is when I go to print documents from Microsoft word, they come out blank. Powerpoint, and other websites and stuff print fine. Im wondering is this a common problem? Word used to print fine but not any more. Perhaps this is in the wrong place, if so i am sorry!

Any solutions will be greatly appreciated.

A quick workaround might be to print/save to PDF and then print from Adobe? It should look identical to the Word document.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah that's an option all right, still can't explain why word suddenly decides it hates me when I have assignments that need printing

Hi there, its a HP photosmart c4180. Font, as in used when writing my assignment? I was using times new roman, just tried Gill Sans mt as well and still no luck. Would stuff like font make a difference?

It was just a long shot. If you had been using an obscure or custom font that the printer didn't support and so just printed blank

I presume a 'print test page' from the printer properties does print correctly ?

Yeah, as I said I can print pretty much everything I want, except when using Microsoft word.

Just a thought - have you tried starting Word in safe mode and testing printing from there? More info.

If that doesn't work, I'd maybe try creating a new user account on the same machine and checking if that account has the same issue - it could be down to corrupt AppData info, and if so the new account should be fine. If the new account also has the problem it's either a change in Word or your print driver that's causing it.
