Has anyone here done this race before?

It looks tough as fcuk. Its 29 weeks away and starts in Sligo and ends in Down. I'm hoping to do the solo one.

Just wondering what the kayak section is like? I better learn how to swim :)

    5km run
    107km road cycle
    26.5km kayak
    17km road cycle
    122km road cycle
    35km off road run

A total of 312.5km non stop. Fcuk

The kayak section is flatwater, so is fine. It's not a silly little miniscule length like you get on the multi-sport races, so it would be extremely benificial to learn how to paddle safely and effeciently.

It's a superb race by all accounts

    Hmmm interesting!!

Looks good. You either need your own kayak or have to hire one though, not included in the entry fee (same money as the Beast) which is disappointing. Speaking of which the race entry page needs to be updated as it's a year out of date.

Also need your own support crew to transport your gear.

    Nice challenge though.
