Just curious how they perform. Especially with heavy duty use (ie LR and PS running simultaneously, multiple PS tabs / layers open, Chrome running in the background, that sort of thing).

I happen to be in the market for both a new laptop and a new tablet... this seems like a good compromise if the performance is good.

Not using it, but have used it with both LR & PS running (on an i5 model) and I didn't see any performance issues. That being said, I only have one image open in each of them. That also being said, my work laptop, albeit a Lenovo Carbon X1 i7, two years old, I run both simultaneously all the time, along with browser (with several tabs), Outlook, Word, Xl etc and a few more company applications and I don't ever see any issues.

The latest versions of LR and PS are designed to work specifically with the Sp3 pen also. If I had the few bob, I'd get one...

I've used the i5 model and it was great. I love the pen too. If I had a few spare bob, I'd get one too!

Well I got the i5 in the meantime. So I guess if anybody else has any questions about it they can ask me in this thread.

I can reveal that it works just fine with photoshop and lightroom and the screen is excellent, although I haven't done any big editing jobs yet (just playing about with old photos so far). I'm actually noticing that the colour balance was a little off on my old laptop.

Do calibrators like the spider pro work on the surface?

I think so (I saw references to it while researching before I purchased) but I haven't personally used one.

Display Mate ran their tests on it, if that's of any use http://www.displaymate.com/Surface_Pro_ShootOut_1.htm
