Skylanders portal question Wii to Wii U

    I was wondering if the Skylanders portals could be used on the WII U if purchased for the Wii?

    My son currently has all the skylanders games for the Wii and he is looking to get the new trap force game, he has all these for the Wii. He is asking for the Wii U for christmas, so I was wondering if he got trap force for the Wii would this be able to be played on the Wii U when he gets it?

    Yup, I believe so. If you buy the Wii version you get a download code for the Wii U version free, so I assume the portal works with it

    Trap Team uses a new portal which is still compatible with the older games, until Friday you can get €10 off the price of Trap Team in Smyths if you bring in an old portal.

    The new Trap Team figures and accessories won't work on the old portals. Some may work with the old games though, compatibility is on the side of each figure or triple packs box.
