jobseekeers benifet and farming

    hi.i need people opinions on my matter..i finished my employment last wednesday due to end of contract..i was working for past few years and have all my pris paid up to date.i also have a farm which i grow winter barley on so there is no rea phisical work to be done on the farm this time of year.i
    i went to the socail welfare last thursday to claim my jobseeker benifet.she said that i was also self employed so i told her i had a farm.she gave me all the forms including one called subsidery employment.
    my question is what way should i answer the questions to get my full jobseeker benifet.should i say that i have no real work to do on the farm or shouls i say that i work one or two days a weeks??

    You might be better off applying for Farm Assist than Job Seekers, it is better suited to your circumstances.

    No need to appky for Farm Assist. That'll happen if you're still otherwise unemployed when your benefit comes to an end.

    As other have stated.
    Your entitled to JSB after finishing even with your farm.
    Then you can opt for either JSA or FA afterwards as they are both means assessed payments it's only then that having the farm will effect your payment.

    Being anything other than honest on the forms is very foolish.
