    Have a 1.8T 08 model.
Ordinary maintenance is not an issue. Only costs above a typical golf would be tyres due to larger sizes.
Mine has a timing chain instead of belt so no big belt change costs. Not sure what the setup is in the 2.0.
I bought new and had a few small issues, window regulators pretty much failed across the board on early cars at least. Audi paid most of those costs if you played hard with them. My aircon dumped it's gas too due to some valve. Also had the ignition switch throw a fault and needed replacement.
No major failures outside of warranty. Needed a camshaft position sensor recently and a ride height sensor but it's 6.5 years old now.
It will be costly enough on fuel, low 30s mpg at best I would think.
I wouldn't buy a front drive one again but I've had a Quattro audi previous to it so maybe it just seems worse for me based on that.
Facelift cars got improved front drive behaviour with the addition of a limited slip front differential.

Petrol A5s here are rare as hen's teeth especially a 2010 model.
