Closing JSA Claim - Just don't sign on?

Do you have to actually close a JSA Claim if you want it closed, or can you just not go to sign on for the day in question?

And as a result there's just no money for you in the post office?

    Can somebody confirm?

Don't think it works like that but could be wrong. You can sign off online now and only takes a min.

    Thanks LMAO_Man.

    Just one question:

If my next signing on date is the 11/11/2014, do I put the date to close the application at 11/11/2014, as I won't be signing on next time?

I'd put the date as the date you're starting work but that's just me

Edi - otherwise you'll be wanting to get paid even though you're working.

    Thanks, you've been really helpful.

One last question is there a certain number of months you get before you're cut off automatically? Something I've never really been able to find out.

Cut off JSA? No idea but don't think so. They probably will get you to do a course etc. after a while
