TVSTAR box feeding an old TV ?!

I have a cheap-n-cheerful TVSTAR 1010 box in the sitting room (with a 1TB HDD attached) and I want to feed it to another room (old TV, with scart).
Problem is I don't have a really long scart so...........can I somehow use the RF loop-through to solve my dilemma (as cheaply as possible).

Gooooogling I did find this interesting bit of info:
    Workaround1.
If you have a Freeview box without RF modulator, but have a tv with just an aerial socket, you can some times get around it using a video recorder. You need a video recorder with a scart socket. You connect the Freeview decoder to the video using scart, then use the aerial feed from the video to the tv. Choose AV1 or whatever the terminology is on your brand of video recorder, and you can get pictures from the Freeview box into the Video, then into the tv.

Using the VCR is an option but you won't be able to change the channels on the Saorview box from the other TV, whatever channel is selected on the box is what you'll see on the TV.

Another option is a separate modulator such as the Triax Trilink which will allow you to change channels remotely like the Sky eye (shop around for best price).

Cheers The Cush, but just so that I have it correct:
I power up the VCR in the sitting room, connect the VCR scart to the TVSTAR, connect TVSTAR loop-through to VCR and then onto the other TV, and then tune in ?!

Could I feed two TVs if I added in an amplifier/splitter ?

The Triax is a good idea but I think I'll save up for a triple tuner when finances allow.

Note: I have a DVD recorder, Samsung DVD-HR750, but I don't think it has RF out either, pity.

Provided the scart in on the VCR allows the signal to be routed through the VCR's modulator to aerial out it should work, test it and see how you get on. if I remember correctly some VCRs I had would auto power down if not used for a period of time.

A splitter or amp (depending on what the signal is like out of the VCR) could be used to feed 2 TVs.

If the other TV can't do anything with the signal from the aerial, there's no need to connect the TVSTAR loopthrough to the VCR.

OK I'll give it a bash later on.
So just connect up the scart and then the RF out from the VCR to the other TV.

    Q. Would an unused Sky box with RF out work the same way ?! /possible silly Q :o

Sky box won't do this, no.
