You can leave the 3ply in Aldi, cut the Sindo into squares, arrange neatly on the edge of the bath.

    Bonus, more savings!!

Am I the only one who does'nt care what paper it's in? Thanks OP

It would be a nice bonus if it was a readable paper you were buying

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,060 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

    Thanks OP.

Sadly I realized after the last offer that the Indo have started pushing out a lite version for places like McDonalds so my days of going in and ripping 5 free vouchers out of the papers in the McCafes are gone.

So, will Tesco take these as part payment for their 25% off booze sale ?

    ( Iceland  also have money off coupons 5 off 30 & 10 off 50 IIRC )

Don't usually spend €50 in a single transaction at Aldi, but could have used this coupon yesterday on the Singer sewing machine.

Bring it back for a refund, then buy again with the coupon.

Last year these type of vouchers were a near weekly event, in the run up to Christmas, the same might occur this year.

    Thanks op

Used this yesterday and only had 43 quids worth of groceries at the counter. Needed to make up the difference with something we'd use and now we have over 1000 teabags!!

Will Tesco take these like they do with Super Value and Dunnes vouchers?

You didn't feel the need for a kayak, saddle or air compressor?

A multi tool, tile cutting bench and bluetooth car stereo crossed my mind, but the teabags will actually be used.

I asked the checkout guy in my local Aldi this week and he said they'll be doing it again this year. He wasn't sure for how many weeks though.

He was also surprised about my voucher. He'd been told by his manager that there wasn't going to be any for Halloween, so don't know how reliable the info he got about Christmas is!

There's another voucher in the SIndo again today for same.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,557 ✭✭✭JTMan

Yeah, the voucher is even in the "light edition" of the Sindo this time.

Meaning, free bulk copies of the Sindo, in hotels and elsewhere, have the voucher.

bought the paper today. I cant believe how much of a rag it is...but it is the biggest selling paper in the country so thats probably why Aldi use it for the coupon promotion.

Got the voucher but have to agree on the paper, even the sports section is crap. Full of pompous opinion pieces.

The main section has 'Glenda Gibson' deserved more of a mention in BOD's book on page 3 !! Cutting edge journalism there, in all fairness who gives a monkeys toss and then there are about 5/6 pages of full page ads. Absolute crap. Then are all sorts of other bits of mini paper's full of more rubbish/ads. It really is a dreadful effort. l wouldn't take it for free but thanks for the voucher. :)

Does anyone know how strict they are on dates - for last week's one but up today and didn't get a chance to use it. Wondering if Tesco are taking some one else's vouchers then they might nnotbe that strict on the dates!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,340 CMod ✭✭✭✭Davy

As this is bargain alerts can we keep the discussion about the vouchers, dates etc, their is plenty of other forums for discussing journalism.

I'd be very surprised if Tesco would take it once the date is up

Get your messages, present the voucher and if they refuse, leave the messages, say, "Thats ok, i might go to Aldi so instead", they might take it.

    Worth a shot.

Since there is another Aldi voucher this week, they might presume it's the current voucher and accept it. If you are going to do a €50 shop anyway, you have nothing to lose. But if you are struggling to get €50 of stuff, then I'd forget about it or else if you have a large item in the transaction of €20-30, I'd put that back if coupon is refused. I used an Aldi coupon on Saturday at self checkout, the attendant had to approve it but he just glanced at it and certainly didn't give it enough attention to read the dates.

sorry to go off topic, but are there any restrictions other than baby milk or tobacco when using aldi vouchers in tesco, looking to get a new mixer 10 euro off would really help!
