Hi I am contemplating entering organic farming. I have ample access to seaweed, how practice is it to spread this on land? Maybe combined with FYM.

The Mrs' old manager used to spread seaweed and feed it to cows. Said it was amazing stuff and cheap to use, this is on the North Island of New Zealand though so don't know if you could compare costs back to Ire.

What did the old ppl do, are you beside a beach? There can be an awful lot of plastic and rubbish where it washes up.

I suppose you could put it in layers in the dungstead with fym, turn it with the loader once before spreading it.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
