if i'm considering a uk one of these could someone please tell me what spec level I need to be looking for to get leather seats? is it the case that some spec levels could have retro fitted leather (as alot of UK passats of the same era seem to have but are not as good as Irish ones with leather seats)?

is there a problem with space in the drivers footwell with this marque as i've seen written about the newer 2011 model?

    thanks

    I have an Irish 2010 a6 s-line special edition.
It has leather and suede seats.

Are you looking for an S-Line or SE?

Uk spec was different than Irish but i would say the majority of uk cars have leather.

Also there is plenty of space in drivers seat area.
I am 6'2 and there's plenty of room.

I think by 2010 all UK spec A6s had leather seats as standard as leather is really standard on this class of car for some time and I would not buy one without it. SE was the entry level both in Irish and UK spec but the UK spec was slightly higher with full electronic climate control and Sat Nav standard on the UK spec SE.

UK S-Line was also higher spec with full leather S-Line sports seats whereas the Irish S-Line had half leather seats. There was also a special edition S-Line in the UK called the Le Mans which added 19" alloy wheels, Xenon headlights and a few other bits. If going for the S-Line make sure to get a good test drive especially over poor roads and the S-Line suspension is very firm and can be painful over poor surfaces. Something to note if you drive regularly on secondary roads.

Yes, for UK spec model, leather was standard for SE and above:
