195/55R15 is what's fitted to the Almera GTi anyway, I'd go with that tbh.

The car will sit a half inch taller, and the speedo will under read by 5.5% compared to currently (which is likely over reading by more than 5.5% anyway). Assuming the offset is the same on the new alloys, the tyres will be 10mm wider in both directions, so that shouldn't foul the body either way.

I'd say go for it, you'll get slightly better mileage from the bigger tyres too :D

If you've a choice of tyre sizes I'd go with what Colm has suggested.

If not you could change it to that when it comes time to change the tyres.

Tyres are 2 weeks old and alloys have a tiny bit of cosmetic damage on 1
mine are completely pitted been a UK import. Car has passed NCT twice without seeing a mechanic and only paid €300 for it 2 yrs ago. It has never let me down and only 1 previous owner.
€220 for 5 brand new tyres and decent alloys cant be bad.
Thanks for the link I have bookmarked it:)
