    hi, just a quick question to answer - is it legally in Ireland to employ a person for only 10 hours weekly? (cleaning job) thanks

    Yes, provided the persons total working hours in all jobs is not greater than 48 hours per week on average.

    hi well my partner works as a courier with a company (but self-employed so he pays taxes himself) and he works MUCH more than 48hours weekly

    Legislation applies to employees, you said your husband is self employed.
