Amazon.de Late Delivery / An Post?

    Hi guys,

    On Monday 6th I ordered a Nexus 5 from Amazon.de (which was fulfilled by Amazon) , which was shipped on Wednesday the 8th using standard delivery (3-5 days) as this was the only delivery option available. This was fine, and the delivery date was Monday 13th.

    Come Monday, nothing came. Same again on Tuesday, Wednesday and Today. I've emailed them and they've basically said to wait until next Monday..
    Strangely, a friend who also ordered but on Amazon UK (a hard drive) didn't get his order either, having both being shipped and ordered on the same days. I get the feeling that they've been stolen somewhere along the line, or something like that.

    Opinions?

    Bit too early to say that they are stolen to be honest; if they are being delivered by the postal services the timing can be a bit hit-and-miss - I'd hold on for a bit longer if I were you

    The last item I ordered from Amazon.de was a DVD in September. It took 12 days to arrive.

    Did you get a tracking number from Amazon ?
    Nowadays they seem to ship stuff here in one consignment and then send it on with An Post.
    But the An Post Tracking Number is still generated before the package actually leaves the German warehouse.
    So the tracking number is useless until the item actually arrives here and is put into the postal system.

    Nope - no tracking number as it was just standard post.

    Although thanks for the answers, as that explains why its taken so long. Will update you all when it arrives. Thanks :)

    Received h refund on Tuesday so went ahead and bought on Amazon.Es this morning with Express Delivery (UPS).

    Just wondering, do UPS deliver on Saturdays in Ireland? (UPS Express)

    A friend of mine drives for UPS. He never works Saturdays.....not definitive I know, but i don't ever remember seeing a UPS van on a Saturday.

    He works out of their Shannon depot, which I would assume also covers Galway

    Nah, its very rare for any couriers in ireland to do Saturdays on regular postal runs.
