Giant TCR sizing?

Hey guys, I’ve a question relating to sizing on Giant TCR that I’m about to order. Firstly I’ve been saving for quite a while to order this bike and previously I’ve had bad sizing experiences such as a Giant Trinity I was advised to buy because my height matched the chart on Giants website. I’m worried ordering now as I won’t be able to afford another bike again for many years.

Anyway I’m 6ft and I am looking to order a Giant TCR Advanced but I am not sure which size would fit best between a M/L & M. I currently have a Giant Defy in M/L but I have a 130mm stem on it. I do prefer the idea of having a smaller frame with larger components so this has got me thinking. Also the Defy is slightly shorter than the TCR according to Giant’s website.

I was searching through the net today and I noticed a lot of pro’s are using smaller frames with larger components, for example the picture below, to me it looks very small for the rider on it.

Thanks in advance to anyone for the input.

    Andy

If you have a defy in m/l and a 130mm stem you must be thinking the defy was too small .Why do you think you might need a medium TCR.

From what I've read the TCR has a longer top tube to the Defy, I also like having a 130mm stem. I do think I'm a M/L but I just wanted to get as much feedback before ordering.

    I'm 6.0 and ride a M/L with a 110mm stem....medium too small

I ride a M/L and a Large TCR both with 120mm stems and both set up to be the same reach as they have very different bars. Everyone has a different fit but as disco1 says medium would likely be too small for you unless you have massively long legs and short body!
