    Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone has experience of Aherlow House Hotel as a wedding venue. We are looking at it as a possible venue but we've heard some good and bad stories surrounding the place in recent months, does anyone have personal experience?

    All comments very welcome :)

Was thinking about it as a venue and went and stayed for a weekend. Place seemed out dated and tired. It really needs a revamp. It felt like an old house that had seen better days.

We had a nice time and the food was nice, but not having the wedding there.

Even something as simple as checking out seemed to be quite a hassle and they seemed very disorganized.

I've never been to a full wedding there, but I've been to a couple of afters, and it's just a nuisance of a place to get to- it's so far away from everything! I'd bear that in mind if you're planning either a winter wedding, or on asking a lot to an evening reception!

We didn't go to a wedding there but called down to view it.. And yep all the above are true.. It is a shame as the lady who shows you around was very nice, but its just dark, gloomy, smells of damp and an off layout..

The main room was downstairs, there is an entrance downstairs but I think they sometimes close this so you have to walk through the bar area to get to it.. The min we walked in you could smell the damp
