Would you consider an SSD and external storage? I put an SSD into my 2008 iMac and it's like a new machine - books up in a couple of seconds, applications open instantly.

    Hey Ciaran,

    Was looking into doing that.
    I already have a 3TB FW external.
I'm doing video editing so space is a big requirement but hopefully I'll be confining this baby to being the back up machine in a few months time, so don't want to sink too much into it.
