LPG for High Mileage - Recommendations

Looking at changing the car at some point in the near future.
Considering LPG instead of Diesel this time around, since my workplace is in the Environmental zone in Dusseldorf and I'm pretty limited on the Diesels I could get with a Green Badge.

So, looking at something that is known to be reliable with LPG and if possible something with a decent Autobox.

    Doing around 35-45k per year.

Have a budget of around 15k.

Also looking at Belgium and Germany for the possibility to import a car.

But really just looking for something that ticks the boxes

    Comfortable seats.
    Bluetooth Audio
    Estate (for a small dog)
    Automatic

Something that's reliable and that LPGs well.

It's going to have to be a large saloon or possibly an estate because of the loss of boot space.

Are you really sure about moving to LPG? The advantage of LPG over, say, diesel is not as clearcut as it used to be. The availability of LPG in different countries and different parts of each country is a consideration.

I was going to suggest a Prius as it ticked most of your boxes except it's not an estate.

Maybe something like a BMW E61 or Volvo V70. Should be a good selection of petrol models available on the Continent.

I can't drive a yellow badge diesel to work without risking a fine :/

Very hard to tell over here Keith.
They all want the auld diesel.
Most LPG conversions (that appear for sale) are on older stuff such as Volvo's and Mercs.
Maybe have a look at some of your more local conversion company's sites and see what models they have up towards the top of their pages....should be the more popular conversion choices.

As already mentioned the Prius really does tick practically all your boxes.

edit; BTW what diesel models are suitable for a 'green badge' ?

2.4 Volvo V70 should suit your requirements nicely!
