EEEKKK is it true nov1st is last boat to France until summer 2015

I was thinking to go to France for week withn the car holiday buy some supplies of the vino and come back leaving on 25th ish

My mate says last ship going is November 1st is full up

he says Celtic lines that did winter run is gone got bought by Stella and they stopped the France winter run

is there any way to get to and from Ireland in the winter with the car without to go via the UK which is pain in the a$$

What happened to the line that did St Lazare and then went to north Spain I was looking maybe to do that I think they were called LN lines

if its true how can i get back if last ship is November 1st

POXY Island like this should have car and truck links to Europe without to have to go through UK .

I frequently used to go to France in the early and late season like November and in February as there real good things there for me at that time and first I heard was today that doesn't look possible

Britanny finishes up well before Christmas from cork to roscoff and ld lines to st nazaire is gone for good, but irish ferries and stena run up to Christmas as per normal from rosslare to cherbourg, and irish ferries has a Dublin - cherbourg ferry at the weekend also running till almost Christmas

THX heart failure need to be able to go and return in November

Was interested to go to North Spain for the difference so might extend it to two weeks and go there and return

I normally just rock up and get on boat never bother to book them as never can be sure what date i can get away

however the Irish ferries dont do mid December 7th last ship to 1st march so cant see how i can do February trips with them but stenna lines looks to be there in feb 2015

are you looking at some incorrect 3rd party website or something, as Irish ferries runs till December 27th, and then after christmas they start on Jan10th with the weekly service from Dublin to Cherbourg and then 25th of Feb for the regular Rosslare-Cherbourg service.
    http://www.irishferries.com/Documents/France_2015/DE_France_schedule_2015.pdf

Stena is even more straight forward, as they are running according to the regular timetable all through winter aside from a few alterations over the Christmas fortnight.

naw my mate who knows most things got the cork to Roscoff ferry summer schedule ending mixed up in his head. Turns out he was getting pills for some head cold or something put the brighteners on me with his incorrect info ..I have been caught before with booking non existent stuff on the web where they continue to allow booking for something when the service had stopped to exist . So just because there is web site accepting booking does not mean the service exists so went for checking with the travel people in case this info was correct .Lucky in this case it wasn't but the disappearance of the LN line to saint Lazare was in itself a big problem as I wanted to try that route out this year . There are so may mergers and so many overnight bankruptcy I now prefer to book at last minute or just rock up in case the travel or hotel or apartment hire service had gone belly up a few days before i wanted to use that service.

It mad max on steroids in the travel world these days
