Just wondering in the real world what type of come back do you have when buying second hand from a dealer? And when I say dealer I mean one like Joe Duffy and not some guy whos wheeling and dealing from his house or on donedeal.

Do you have a warranty? What went wrong?

No no... its a just question. Im in the market for a new car and Im looking at an opel insignia 2010 with 105K on the clock.... Im just thinking if Im buying a car like that then Id like to think theres more comeback then just "you bought it how you saw it, your problem buddy".... so just wondering what kinda comeback do you have with a dealer.

Depends on the warranty you get with the car. On a car like that (assuming it's km) I'd be expecting a 6-12 month warranty. It won't cover wear and tear items like clutches and tyres.

If buying an approved used BMW from Joe Duffy, the following terms apply:

In general, manufacturer warranties and approved used car warranties and extended warranties associated with (but not necessarily with the manufacturer) are stronger than third party warranties but that there's also a significant cost difference.

The used BMW warranty at bmw dealers is good no doubt.
In general, you should be very safe buying an insignia through joe duffy, as same as anywhere really.

Indeed. Joe Duffy has a reputation to manage, so the garage has to be able to stand over the car and OP's rights under the Sale of Goods Act cannot be restricted.
