despite sounding pretty much dead, I got a bunch of contacts on 10 & 12m yesterday and today.

two best were St Helena ZD7FT SSB and Haiti HH2/PY3SB CW

    i LIKE 10m!

    morse is 28000 to 28070

    USB 28225 to 29100, but mainly 28400 - 28550

look at some of the DX spotting sites. I use QRZCQ.COM. there are loads of others

timewise, 10m is MAINLY daylight..... and it works round with the sun.

yesterday I worked St Helena (nearly due south) at 11:50

    Haiti 12:12, Puerto Rico 12:54, Mauritius 13:42, USA 12:56 & 15:19 (all GMT)

all of these were daylight to daylight contacts.

other bands are different..... for instance 1/2 an hour ago I got Australia on 20m for the 1st time.... (07:50)

It can vary very suddenly with solar activity. When open I have worked repeaters in Switzerland with 5W and Whip and contacts in Norway. Superstar 3900 modified by changing Hi/Lo switch to a Hi/Med/Lo and diodes to extend to 29.5MHz

10 metres and all the other bands are full of signals for the CQ Worldwide Contest. Plenty of strong signals on 10 as early as 7 am this morning.

I'm not a contester, but I'm more than happy to give my mi0 as a multiplier

in the last 15 minutes I logged US (x5), Venezuela, Colombia, Lithuania, Sweden, Canada, Slovakia, All on 10m
