My Brother cycles from Raheny to top of Howth on a heavy mountain bike He carries heavy gardening tools in panniers, and has to walk the bike up some of Howth head He has a triple chain ring, but is not overly fit He is interested in buying an elec bike, but these are expensive What are peoples opinions please on electric…

From a power pov, is a front wheel kit as effective as a back wheel kit

The electric power will be used just for the incline, about 1 to 2 km

Think the legal limit in Ireland is 250w. If you do a search there are a few older threads covering the topic of electric bikes
