BMW 3Series E90 AUX input with Parrot Kit

Hi All, I recently bought an 09 3 series that had a parrot kit installed. Unfortunately the AUX input is not working in the car and i've been told this is down to the parrot kit taking over from the AUX. Is there any way to rectify this so i can use the parrot kit and the Aux in the car?

The aux in isn't great to begin with. If you were to replace parrot with a music streaming kit such as the parrot 9200 would it be better?

Plus with new rules you can now get points for holding a phone. (Assuming you were plugging it in for music.) the expense involved might warrant a Bluetooth kit with music streaming abilities and you can recoup some of the cost by putting the old kit on adverts etc.
