injury question

    any advice for me. trainin for dublin going well up until a couple a weeks ago. bad case of shin splints (possible stress fracture ) has me sidelined.rested completely for a week and managed a tempo and 20 mile long ten days ago but havnt been able to run since. if I dont manage anythin till race day how much will my fitness be effected.

    who cares about fitness!! I'd be more worried about a stress fracture which could take months to recover from if you push it and run a marathon. Be smart, don't run the marathon and get treatment and a diagnosis immediately.
