Tax Credit Refund

    I recently got the child tax credit the single parent one,question is how long will i have to wait for a refund? On my payslip it appears to have been applied but no refund forthcoming as yet!posted the paperwork 2 weeks ago

    You will just pay less tax now that credits are adjusted, there may be no refund as such.

    are the credits adjusted first then any potential refund follows?completely clueless on this,if I don't get any refund fair enough just like to know what I am facing

    The credit would probably be spread out over the remaining pay checks of the year. Depends how your payroll department do it - PAYE is not administered by the government - but rather by employers.

    Pretty much yes, they are the ones that "push the button" for the computation of your paycheck.
