Is there a difference between the 2? Can you name some in Ireland?

I'm not sure there is such as thing as a technical company? There are technical services companies which tend to be technical engineering type companies - Siteserv, Mercury Engineering would come to mind. I guess the difference between them and and engineering company is that they are not consulting but implementing and are primarily staffed with technicians who are trained to do a specific (usually technically complex) task but not design the solution.

Technology companies tend to mean information technology companies. There are many from Intel to Facebook.

this looks like a homework/project question, which is pretty scary from a quality of education perspective!! No wonder we continue to plunge down the third/fourth level school rankings!!
