I was up in my parents attic the other day and found an athletics weekly magazine from 1974.Now I was only born in 1981 but was passed on some magazines from earlier.
Oldest running shoe I found was an Asics Kayano TN900 which was the 5th edition.I did have the TN700 which was the 3rd edition and one of my favourite shoes of all time.
I also have a pair of Adidas shorts which where also from 1997 and they finally gave way around 3 years ago.

Funny I still see runners wearing kit from the early 90's every now and then.

A book by Bruce Tulloh published in the late 70's. Still a great training manual.

I still have the first pair of proper running shoes that I bought. Wave Inspire 3 from a small shop in Bray (at the time) :)

I ran a race in my old running racing gear earlier in the summer, has held up quite well considering it's 20yrs old.

The Ron Hill gear on the right

Not running as long as you guys (around 7 years now), but I still wear a pair of the shorts I bought when I started running (and will be wearing them for my session today). They're a pair of black Asics shorts which have stood the test of time, and are still just as good as when I bought them. A lot of my other gear has come and gone, but these shorts.... still perfect... Probably covered 3,000-4,000 miles.

I have a pair of feet, made in 1973. A bit tatty round the edges. They look their age but are still going well. Hope to get a few more years out of them!

Have a pair of spikes I bought in Boston just after I finished the leaving. I wore them for the first time 2 years ago and they are in perfect condition.

    I bought them in 1995!

Similar to myself, I've a pair I picked up when I first got back into it after taking a hiatus from when I was in my early teens. I see them as my 'lucky' shorts and wear them for any long or tough race as they're super comfy, a pair of adidas.

I have a pair of tracksuit bottoms that get dragged out to wear over my running gear on the way to races which I bought in 1999 when I was in Transition Year. In terms of running-specific gear - I have two size 16-18 Aldi winter running tops from 2008 (my first year running) at my mum's house.
