any increase in jobseekers allowance in the budget?

    There was no increase for the folk on jobseekers allowance, but they will get the christmas bonus at 25%, 25% of €188. Child benefit gets an extra fiver.

    If you are a Long term recipient of jobseekers allowance you will receive the Christmas Bonus.

    No. There's no increase to the weekly rate. But you may be going to get an extra 25% for Crimbo and if you are getting the Fuel Allowance then your going to get €100 next year for your water charges. If your claiming for kids and you find a job you csn keep the €30 per week for each child for 12 months snd €15 for the next 12 months.CB going back up €5 per sproglet.

    The retention of the child dependent payment on take up of employment -that is actually great news. That's essentially an increase.

    Fantastic opportunity there when coupled with FIS to get out of the poverty trap and start earning your own crust.
