I was looking for a tablet for viewing and editing .doc, powerpoint and pdf files for uni work. I've been advised that for that purpose a windows tablet is the way to go.
After reading some reviews and recommendations I came across the Surface 2/RT, which is 250 here, adding the keyboard brings it to 300. I can price laptops for 325 or so.

Are tablets good for this or is it gimmicky?
The tablet processor is 4x1.8 GHz, while the laptops at 325 are 2x2.4 GHz Pentiums.

    Thanks
