IEM Reshelling

    Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone had gone through the process of getting a pair of IEM's reshelled? I'm just looking to get a feel of your impressions post reshelling, costs, the company you've used etc. I have a pair of Shure 535s that I love, I just find the various tips to be a pain in the rear in terms of fit within my ear.

Any help here would be appreciated.

    Conor.

I would check out Lime Ears in Poland or Cosmic Ears based in Sweden but are in the process of setting up another shop in the UK which will be handy to send the impressions to! Thinking of buying a set of roxannes myself and getting Lime to reshell them...

Best to try stick within EU or you may get stung by import fees when you receive them back :)

Much appreciated Celticsfan. Lime Ears look good. As for the Roxanne's, way beyond my price point :) If I was going to upgrade, i've always loved the Shures so it'd be the 846s for me. Wife and kids dictate otherwise. Just as a suggestion if you're thinking of the Roxanne's, check out the December sales on Earphone Solutions, which can run at 20-30%, so you might save yourself the cost of the reshells. I've bought 4 or 5 pairs of Shures from them and never been stopped for customs duty.
