    Hi

I have a doubt and this week I am going to the Social Welfare to try to understand my recent Jobseeker Allowance payment, but if someone knows the reason I would like to read it.

I am on Jobseeker allowance and I was getting 342.60 (FLAT), however 2 weeks ago when returning from Holidays we got the bad news that the place where my partner was working closed down, so she claimed for Jobseeker benefit to her.

Yesterday was my first payment since she claimed for her jobseeker benefit and I realized I am getting now 130 something as Flat.

This makes any sense ? I mean, when she was working I was getting 342.60 as Flat, and now that shes without work they cut my payment in more than 200 ?

Just trying to figure out how it works.

    Thanks in advance!

Why were you getting 342.60 when JA rate is 188?

You were being overpaid it seems to me and now the DSP is taking the overpayment from your weekly payment.

Thats just a guess. You'de better call them to find out.
