    Hi all

I'm cycling now 2 and a bit years and am still using a basic skyline giro helmet. I'm looking to buy a decent helmet that doesn't look massive.

My budget is €70-100 so if anyone has anything lying about that they are willing to sell let me know.

For this budget am I will better off going new?? If so what would you recommend

Head size: 57-58 and been advised to get giro, kask, bell or uvex ???

2014 season helmets will be going cheap around now. myself and a mate both picked up a 200 euro lid for 90 quid this week. sadly i got the last one in that particular shop. you'd most likely find a similar deal on a new one if you look around

out of interest what reason did your buddy advise you to stick to those particular brands?

Why? No Specialized? No Limar? No Abus? Fair enough, don't buy mine, but that's BS.

I have a limar pro 58-61 weighing 200g but sure it not on the list, so if anyone else wants it €45 collected..

Thanks dragratchet will keep an eye out on sales.

I've probably mis-quoted my friend. He said to stick with main brands and named a few he thought were best.
