Should I cut my hair?

Someone just tell me I should!!

I've been growing my hair for about 6 years, but it's never gotten past my boobs. I have blonde ombre in it now for almost 2 years but I think it's getting a bit ratty looking and I need a change. So thinking of cutting it shoulder length (nothing too drastic!) but I need some courage!

Sounds like we have the same hair.
Mine is long but never goes past a certain length it seems.

I put ombré in for a few months and the ends were so dry and horrible. I did end up cutting about 6 inches off to have it just below my shoulders.
I hated it but it looked and felt better so had to be done. I could have done with another few inches gone to be honest but couldn't face it.
I've had most of the dry ends cut off now and it's back to the length it was before. That's been about a year.

If your hair is in bad condition then go for it.

Sounds like cutting it is the best option, especially if you want to grow it in the long term. I recently had about 8 inches of scraggy, over-processed ends chopped off mine and it looks so much better!
