I received a letter this morning from the employment services telling me to apply for a job of senior supervisor that they have been notified that has become available, the job is for a senior supervisor to cover the Munster region , retail experience and own transport required, I don't have any experience in this field or a car, when did they start doing this ? Anyone else experience this ?

Oh ya and I forgot about the threatening bit at the end "if you don't send your CV or reply as to why you don't want to apply for this position in writing, your payment will be affected"

    YOu have two choices:

    1. Apply for the position despite the fact you have no relevant experience or a car.

    2. Reply as to why you don't want to apply for this position in writing

Option 2 may be best as they may not have a proper record of your experience/lack of transport & may need to be updated on their database in order for a more accurate 'match' to be churned out.

Sent them back the letter with a little note inside basically saying I didnt think the role was suitable for me as I have no management experience or drivers license or car, hopefully that will be ok.

I wander is this part of that scheme they have outsourced to private firms.
first time I have heard of someone getting a letter ordering them to apply for a specific job.

I have been given interview appointments for CE jobs where I could not even get to the interview without a car
