    Hi

Need A quick answer to this one. Decision being made in the morning!

I have a flat roof with an ancient dome in it that allows artic gales through my main sitting room. Duct tape not perfroming too well on vents! So getting flat roof insulated internally and that is fine but would you

    a) replace dome with new velux dome?

    B) replace dome with velux lying flat on roof? or almost?

    C) replace dome with velux in a frame allowing it to be pitched to a slope?

Which allows best light? I know velux domes are as good heat wise as normal velux windows. But light is my big issue, followed by appearance (prefer velux) My roof is sw facing.

Any replies are most welcome! Thanks guys!

ecx kerb looks the job and the blinds (I've installed over 500) are so simple to put up but if it's more than 10 ft up get the electronic ones as the rod ones are tricky above that height

thanks guys! So my dome is 600mm X 1200MM do you reckon I can replace that with this ECX kerb? if you go on velux site it is actually very hard to find the sizes these things come in! Never mind prices!! hugely grateful for help!

Actually...if you're not having the flat roof finish re-done, then it would be hard to remove your dome and replace with Velux without some alteration to the roof structure/finishes.

You may simply have to replace your dome, like for like. Talk to your builder.
