    Hi,

I installed this today. I connected 1 adapter to the modem and another to my desktop pc up stairs. Everything works perfect there.

Problem now is my phone and herselfs laptop cant connect to the wifi. They can see the modem but they just can't connect.

The wireless light on the modem is green as well.

Anyone have one of these TP-Link AV500 or know what is going on here?

    Thanks.

First guess is that your router is on 192.168.1.1

My router is on 192.168.2.1 why would that issue ?

The wireless HP defaults to .1.1 so if your router is the same it conflicts the default gateway and can f'ck the network.

Have you done the WPS cloning procedure?

no not yet was on my to do list but the router and and adapter are in the attic so I thought I'd ask first before going into attic in this weather :-) so if i clone them again I should be back in business ? I am worried that the heat in the attic maybe affecting adapter or worse stuffed it up.

    No dont clone it yet.

If you had cloned it the dual stations for the same SSID could cause confusion. Its not always perfect. Dont mix that in yet.

First thing I'd do is check what default gateway you get on the clients that drop offline.

That make sense now as my OH's phone and iPad had no issue only my phone and the sky box wont connect. They have been working flawlessly for over a year never turned them of bar a power cut. I am not that well up on this how do I check the gateway ?
