How many people would a company typically interview for a position?
I had an interview for a JobBridge internship and he said they were doing about 13 interviews for 2 positions so I just wanted to know is this is average? To me it seems quite a lot.

Totally depends on the job but 13 people for 2 jobs doesn't sound like too much.

6 people for 1 position is generally the amount interviewed. So for 2 positions it doesn't seem that excessive.

Some time after I applied, I followed up with a phone call on advice I had been given previously. The guy said that he wasn't too happy with the quality of applicants he was getting, and I don't think the comment was directed at me so it gives me some hope.

Maybe if he wants decent applicants, he should, oh I dunno, pay for it? Good luck though, it could bode well for you.

Hopefully:) I went out of my way to mention that I found it on my University Careers site and not JobBridge.
They said they would be back to me on or before tomorrow and I heard nothing yet so still have some hope.

Six seems to be the norm, depending on the quality of the applications. Three interviews in the morning, three in the afternoon. Discuss and maybe call back two for a second round.
