    Just spotted on the Racing Post that Captain Cee Bee has been retired.

    What a servant to connections. Achieved a career high official rating over hurdles last season at the age of 13

    Yep an auld favourite of mine. Amazing win in the supreme when he got up to beat Binocular. He surely would have won that novice chase at Leopardstown when he fell at the last after cruising up until then and having Sizing on the ropes. Maybe didn't do himself justice then when he broke a blood vessel in that years arkle at Cheltenham. Was great to see him perform back over hurdles and getting so close to Hurricane Fly and Our Conor last year and having Jezki in behind in 4th!
