WII freezing ..

During gameplay, the wii freezes, and emits a hum ..? happens whilst using different games/discs... Anyone shed any light on the problem :/

Wii or Wii U?

Never had this with the Wii, but it happened me a few times before with the Wii U.
Could be caused by overheating, if there's any dust in the air vents that can impede the cooling systems. With the systems turned off, try spraying some compressed air through the vents see if it helps.

Update -
I got the hoover to the wee grill underneath the Wii ...removed the dust etc. and so far so good....

I find if the Wii is freezing a warm jumper and a mug of Bovril does wonders.
