Hi I'm planning a Gaming PC I've wanted for years, I've come up with a budget build which I hope should be reasonably capable and upgradeable for the future.

    1. What is your budget? 500ish + Monitor

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? gaming : Crusader Kings II, Europa Universalis IV, Hearts of Iron IV - nothing hugely taxing but I'd like it to be capable of running them well and with a bit extra to survive any new versions of the games.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes/No] No - Should be able to source a cheap copy in college, worst case scenario I'll get a student priced Win8 box which is about €60 I think.

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

5a. If yes, what size do you need. I'm going to get a 24inch HDMI monitor, it'll be this or similar.

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Need a DVD drive if neccessary for windows install, I've left it out of the build at the moment.

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes/No] No

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] Any

    9. When are you purchasing? [In x days] within 2 weeks

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [South east] I'll build it myself

    Total build cost: €489.32 + €11.99 shipping
    4GB Corsair XMS3 PC3-12800U CL9 €42.19
    Intel Pentium G3450 in-a-Box €81.50
Corsair Force LS 120GB SSD SATA 6Gb/s €61.89
    Gigabyte Radeon R7 250X OC, 2GB DDR5, VGA, 2x DVI, HDMI €96.71
    ASRock Z97 Anniversary, Sockel 1150, ATX €82.94
    Antec GX500 Window Blue Edition Midi-Tower - schwarz €49.90
be quiet! STRAIGHT POWER BQT E9-450W 80+Gold €74.19

I've put in a z97 mobo in the hope that it'll be reasonably future proof, will the Pentium have enough oomph for the games mentioned? Would it be the main system bottleneck? I'd hope to get an i5 at a later date but that could be more than a year away.

If there's any big mistakes with it please point them out. If there's any cost savings that be done that'll keep similar/better utility please let me know.
