Selection boxes in the shops!

Saw some selection boxes down my local Tesco's today.

Halloween used to be the benchmark for Christmas goods to get slapped on the shelves. Every year it gets earlier and earlier without fail! Before you know it we'll be buying our baubles and tinsletoe in the summertime along with the beachtowels. ;-)

When will the madness end? Pudding in March? :pac:

I love Christmas from about 10th December onwards.

12th October is just abhorrent :pac:

This happens every year, when are we going to get the **** over the faux outrage of Christmas stuff in shops? Far more tiresome hearing people moaning about it right on queue every single year!

Meh, I much prefer Halloween to Christmas. Brown Thomas' Christmas shops have been open for ages.

Don't make me come over there and smack you.

Littering is abhorrent. Vomit is abhorrent. Spitting is abhorrent.

Christmas is magic and twinkly and happy and I'd have the tree up in October and down in March and roast turkey every day in between if I could persuade the rest of the world to accept it. :)

You can select whichever box you like , but when I see this kind of thing , it makes me buy less and less in store .

I love how everyone likes to get an "early start on the christmas shopping". Which usually means buying tins of Roses mid-October and eating them about a week later.

I did that last year. Tesco had them marked down to 5c a packet.
Got about 25 packets of them.

It's to test the quality of the confectionary, mandatory. Utmost importance before buying another tin as a ''gift'' ;)

For Christmas, and to quote Andy Williams, "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year. . ." But, it does seem a bit ridiculous to have Christmassy stuff up in shops from August/September when we're just getting over the summer, and Halloween is still weeks away. My local garden centre has opened its Christmas section already, and there is a smaller Halloween section right beside it. Even Brown Thomas opened their Christmas section a few weeks ago (no recession on there, says you).

I know of some that did their Christmas shopping weeks ago, and have it all done. It's madness really. I prefer to do it in early December when it actually does start to feel like Christmas with all the lights, the music, etc. Also, it avoids the rush somewhat.

As I said already, Santa needs time to get organised ;)
    I've all my shopping done.
