year abroad recognised for payscale

Hi, I taught full time in England after qualifying and just found out that this years service should be recognised in Ireland with regards to my payscale. Does any one know what I need to do in order to get this recognised and my pay amended? Thanks in advance.

I had my british service taken into consideration . A the time my VEC had me complete a long and complicated form . That was perhaps 12 years ago.
