    Helllo, I am flooring my attic and need to raise it above the wirining. Is 2 by 1 my only option or is there clips or anyting?

    Google "loft legs" but at their price you might be better off using timber.
    If you're flooring for storage it might be worth ensuring your insulation is up to scratch before you sheet it so you may need to use deeper timber instead.

    3X2 is stronger and will spread the weight, preventing ceiling cracks.

    I've been there !
