Ok, So driving a 08 Mitsubishi Lancer and when driving there is a thumping sound coming from under the car.... kind of like maybe if you were to put something in the spokes of a bike...if that make sense... the sound only comes when you lift your foot off the accelerator... any ideas?

Anything out of the ordinary when you jack up the car (when taking all the usual precautions by not relying just on the jack)?

You probably forgot to let the wife out of the boot, it happens all the time.

Pay particular attention around the CV joints and the gaiters ( Rubber covers) that surround them. Look out for grease stains or debris around the wheel hubs, driveshafts Gearbox output shafts etc.

Prop the vehicle up on proper wooden props or axle stands before undertaking any inspection work underneath and never do this alone.
It may be as simple as a stuck piece of branch in one of the shafts or near the hub etc or a loose gaiter.
