I was hit by a car yesterday whilst in the cycling lane on Drumcondra road and lost my front wheel in the accident. I have the stock Tiagra wheelset which came with my KTM. I'm like to replace it with 105 wheels or something similar.

Related: Cycle Ways on Parnell Street has a Shimano AL10 (?) wheelset for €150 which the chap told me was about on par with 105s. I can't find any information about them though. Any thoughts?

just thought i would let you that you don't need to get a wheel with a shimano hub just that it is shimano compatible for the cassette.

I'm aware, it's just that I have Shimano parts and was happy enough with the Tiagras for the last 3 years. I'm open to other brands of components and hubs, so anything comparable to a wheelset with 105 hubs would do.

I've found a few offers online for wheelsets built with 105 hubs and Mach 1, Mavic, or Fulcrum 7 hubs for €150-€170. Is there better value for money in that price range? I'm not concerned about weight (Tiagra set is over 2kg) as it's for a training bike so durable is more important.

    Thanks for the reply!
